Madrid Barajas International Airport (MAD) can be reached from all directions and is easy to find, being close to the city centre. The airport itself is surrounded by a number of fast highways, which encircle the area and provide easy access. These include the M-12, the R-2 (Radial 2), the M-11, the M-13 and the M-50, all of which lead to the grounds of Madrid Airport.

Several prominent locations lie close to Madrid Barajas Airport and include Coslada and Caciamadrid to the south, El Pardo and Alcobendas to the west, and both Torrejón de Ardoz and Alcalá de Henares to the east. Also worth noting, to the north you will find Belvis del Jarama, Fuente el Saz de Jarama and Santo Domingo.

Several important areas of green are close to Madrid Barajas Airport, including a selection of golf courses. Just minutes to the south-west is the Parque de Juan Carlos II, while the Golf La Moraleja II course lies directly east, with the spreading campus of the Complutense University of Madrid (Universidad Complutense de Madrid) also situated nearby. To the far north-east is the Casino Club de Golf Los Retamares, with the Campo de Golf Base Aèrea de Torrejón being considerably closer, directly east of Madrid Airport.
